Who is Performance Industrial Coatings?
PICI is the largest custom powder coater in the St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota area. We provide powder coating services for many ISO9002 certified companies, including our international customers. Our facility contains two independent conveyorized computer controlled powder coating systems. Each line is designed for maximum effiecency with part sizes ranging from 1"x1" to 25' long x 60" deep x 24" wide. At PICI we can coat both ferrous and nonferrous metals. In fact one of our lines is a dedicated nonferrous line.

What is Powder Coating?
As it's basic definition, Powder coating is a method of coating your product using a powdered plastic resin which is melted onto your product. The process of powder coating, with a basic explantion, starts by hanging your parts on our computer controlled overhead conveyor. Your product then goes through our 5 step pre-treatment, where any contaments on your part are removed and then left with a iron phosphate coating. They are then dried off, cooled down and electrostacially coated using our state of the art powder application system. Your parts then travel to the bake oven, where they are baked to the precise requirements of the powder manufactuer. Your parts then proceed to the cool down area where they are 100% inspected to your criteria. Then they are packaged and set aside, ready to ship to your predetermined address.
